Yeah a nice cheap fix would be the cable, but the previous owner of my truck used that magic putty crap. But I think I will buy one of those center counsel ones, and put a CB were the cup holder was.

Hey theres a guy on ebay who has the permanent fix to the 98-02 factory cup holder for only $10 bucks! Try it out b4 u buy the $50 replacement one for your center console, although it would be a nice interior feature...

yeah i did that fix off of ebay. i believe it is the same setup with the wires like signal.

i bought the "quick permanent fix" and never received anything in snail mail but then randomly received an email with a fix for a cup holder of the DIY wire and screws. save the money, bc signal showed us for free lol. plus get the cup holder from genos. can never have too many cup holders.

so you think since i live down the road from genos, i can just drive there and order to go? just no point in paying S&H

I gotta say in the 2nd gen Rams, Dodge had a serious design flaw on our cup holders! LOL Atleast they were slightly improved in '98. I lost countless drinks taking a sharp turn at least 15 or 20. That reminds me, I still wanna get sum new black carpet...

I dont understand.

I've had a 95, and an 01 dodge. Now, I'll be the first to say that the 94-97 cupholders SUCKED. They were possibly the worst I've ever used lol.

However, the 98-01 cupholders are great imo. I love my cupholder. How do you guys break them so much? Mine see quite a lot of use, and it holds up fine..
