Anything out there OTHER than the console cupholders? Or at least a console holder that's designed better for big cups? I frequently get the 54 and 62oz cups from my local gas station, and I've found that in the typical cupholder design where both cup wells are right next to each other like the Geno's design, you're boned if you want to put a pair of cups any bigger than about 32oz each in there. You're also boned if you try to put two coffee mugs with handles in there.
I picked up a holder from Wal-Mart a few months back for $5 (just like this one - http://www.amazon.com/Custom-Accesso.../dp/B000WEPI4M) that has the cup wells spaced further apart, with a rectangular well between them (which incidentally fits a large McDonald's fry box PERFECTLY
), and also will accomodate two of the massive cups. Problem is that it's designed to wedge in between the seats. No big deal with my old S10...wedge it between the passenger seat and the center console that's only about 6" wide, and it was easy enough to reach over to. With the Ram, not so much. It also means that it hangs over the seat, reducing seating area to either the driver or passenger.
I'm not real wild about the center console one (I lose the cupholder if I ever have a third person in the truck), but then I'm also kind of boned with having a manual trans truck that I don't have much room on the floor. Even if I have to go with a center console one, are there any out there that have the cup wells spaced out more?

Here is my Jerry Rig solution for it. It worked on my Cup Holder. Cant even notice it was broke...

NOTE: The washer is 1/16th of an inch thick. You might be able to use 1/8th inch?? Also, I used a 5/32nd inch drill bit to drill holes in the washer. This will give you enough space to put a pop rivet through. That when aligning the washer to the hole on the plastic piece. Use a cheap ole Bic pen. it is the perfect diameter to fit through both the hole of the washer and the hole on the plastic piece. Before putting the cupholder back together. You might want to take a black Sharpie marker and color the washer and pop rivets both on the edges and on the front so you don't see the edges of a silver washer wedged inside the black plastic parts. After pop riveting the washer to the broken piece. you may have to use a small screw driver in order to pry the two parts of the cup holder back together. Dodge did not leave a whole lot of clearance for assembly of the cup holder.

Hi Gang:
I've been lurking and gather tips and tricks since I bought my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 SPORT last week.
One of the first things I did was purchase a new cup holder from "Dodge Parts". However, I can't for the life of me understand what color I should have!
My build sheet shows that I have the "Agate" interior package. So, I ordered the "Agate" Cup Holder knowing that it only comes in 3 colors (Agate, Dark Mist Grey and Tan).
New cup holder shows up today, but it sure looks like "Grey" to me.
Does anyone have a shot of what "Agate" versus "Dark Mist Gray" look like? Here is a photo of my new one mounted and the old one sitting in front of it.
Thanks!
Mike
