+1 on dash mounting kit and wiring harness.
any 1 DIN unit will fit. i'm not sure about anything bigger.
the sony xplodes are very common, low priced, and are ok. some will say they they're lower quality. i don't have a fine tuned ear, so i can't tell. consider getting one with an AUX port for you mp3 player, and one that will play mp3 cd's.
your fronts are 6x9 (although 6-1/2 will fit) and rears are 5-1/4. watch your speaker depth. there's not much room till it hits the window frame.
disconnect battery when installing.
and get one of those $10 door panel removal tools.

is that all that I need?
and do you think I can install it by myself, I am a very smart 16 year old that is good at working on things.

radio -
this is for the NON-Infinity system. If you have the Infinity system, search on here for the special wiring required to power those in-door amps with the blue wire from the new radio.
disconnect battery !! you'd be surprised how many people won't do this.
remove the black dash cluster bezel thing by very gently prying it loose. it has about 10 clip and just pops off. this exposes the radio and its mounting hardware.
remove the screws that hold in the radio and pull it and all of its associated wiring out.
plug in your new wiring adapter to the factory harness. consult a chrysler wiring diagram for what's what.
http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/DCP-Wiring.pdf
use butt splice crimps to connect the radio to the wiring. don't use black tape. match speakers correctly. match the always hot properly (this holds the radio presets), and match the switched hot properly (this has power with ignition on or accy on).
if you want your radio to operate with ignition off, then wire in the on/off to your always hot feed.
if you have an amp or electric antenna, wire it into the ant/amp lead. probably blue.
connect the ground. i think i had to cut loose the factory ground and put on a spade connector or something...
inspect any unconnected wires. decide what the hell they are, and what you should do with them. if you have anything hanging loose thats supposed to be loose, then clip off any uninsulated wire and tape it up so it CANNOT short out.
connect radio antenna.
attach face plate/dash kit. it'll have some bendable tabs or something. install to dash with the 2 screws.
connect battery.
test.
if you have no sound from the front speakers, you may need to power the factory Infinity amps with the blue wire from the radio.
reinstall bezel CAREFULLY.
enjoy.
speakers.
disconnect battery AGAIN.
remove door panels. 3 screws and the damn clips around the edge. use a door panel tool. manual window has a small clip in the window handle. don't lose this clip.
remove speaker.
install new speaker. hope its not too deep and hits window frame. shim out if necessary. test fit door panel. hope speaker is not too tall that panel bulges excessively.
reconnect battery and test speaker.
reinstall panel.
enjoy.
