Default ENGINE Light!

So i just replaced my drivers side head gasket because i mistakenly thought radiator fluid was leaking from it down the side of my block. After replacing the timing cover gasket, the problem is fixed. However, after i did the headgasket, i got a check engine light. I took the truck to aamco and the guy checked over the motor and did compression tests etc. (everything with valves and compression checked out good) He came to find that cylinder 7 had a misfire. To me, the truck runs great... So he recommended i change my plugs, wires, ditributor cap and rotor. I did all of that and disconnected the battery to clear the engine light but it came back on today. ANY ideas??? He said that it sounded like an ignition issue, thats why he reccommended me to put new plugs, etc in.. Im at a loss.....

There's a TSB in the DIY section regarding re-routing the plug wires correctly because of misfiring... give that a look over and see if that makes a difference. Get the easy things outta the way first

Yup, reroute the wires. Unless you feel like taking it to a shop so they can do it for you at $90 an hour.

unhook your battery for a few minutes to reset the light, if that fixed the problem it shouldn't come back on

Take it to a autozone and get the code. I dont trust the little quick lube deals, Always get the code, Investigate yourself dont let someone behind a counter do it for you.
