no fire to the coil

Default no fire to the coil

im pretty sure im not getting any fire to my coil. just did the motor swap 01 360 any advice?

does it say no bus on you cluster?and are you pulling any codes?

check the 01 service manual for a good explanation of the ASD.
if no signal from crank position sensor, ASD tells PCM to shut down coil and fuel.
crank position sensor in bell housing is commonly damaged in motor/trans swap.

i have to pcms one that come with the motor i bought and the one that was factory on the truck the one that came with the new motor says no bus, and pulls 3 codes witch r tranny codes. the factory one pulls no codes and dont say no bus. and i switched the crank sensor with the one off the old motor, but there wires got cut and are spiced back together think this might be y?

if the wires are cut or shorted or spliced incorrectly, or if there is a mismatch in years of pcm vs sensor, etc, its likely your problem.

ya couse motor i put in is out of a 96 and i have an 01 so theirs a lot of mix matched parts. is there any way to reprogram the pcm?

Might be able to take it to the dealer but you're talkin about some major issues to over come because there are some 96 that are OBDI and some that are OBDII depending on when it was built in that year.
