Recently I got a B&M aluminum trans pan for the 46RE. The filter extension it came with is a 3-hole aluminum block. But my original filter only uses two bolts. I don't see how I can bolt it to the valvae body. Does anyone have experience with the B&M pan, part no. 10280.

does the adapter bolt to the trans, and then the filter bolt to the adapter??

If there is a part number with it, I would call the folks ya got it from, and verify the application is correct.

 

There is a third bolt, but it is just on the valve body, not through the filter. That way, next time you change the filter you don't have to mess with the extension. I was going to put one of these on when I added the deep pan to my 2001 last week, but the bolts that came in the kit were actually shorter than the stock bolts. I need to get bolts that are about 3.5 inches long for it to work.
