I had the same problem on two other dodges that I've owned, and both times, it was the check valve on the fuel pump that had gone bad. The check valve prevents fuel pressure from bleeding off when it's not running. If this is your case, the entire fuel pump needs replaced. Cycle the fuel pump a few times before you crank it over, and if it starts right away, than this is more than likely your problem

I did cycle the fuel pump couple times this morning still had the same problem.. I have a friend of mine that owns a shop, he owes me a couple favors, so I dropped it off to him and he's gonna hook a scan tool to it along with a fuel pressure guage, to see whats up with it when he starts it in the morning..

This is what happend to mine when my fuel pump kicked the can. All of the sudden it started to be hard to start, then 2 days after that started my fuel pump stopped cycling completely when you turned the key.

+1. Mine did this too and replacing the fuel pump solved.

I would think it is the tuneup. 35K is when you should do a tuneup. I used to doa tuneup every year (Mainly because i get bored) and in 9K miles, the terminals were black.

But then again, MSD ignitions and more powerful coils tend to make caps/rotors/plugs wear 3X faster.

Any auto parts store will carry them. Bear in mind though, this is NOT a part to 'cheap out' on. Get a good quality pump, and you won't have to go thru this again in a year or three.

Heyyou
What is a good brand fuel pump?

I went ahead and put new Beldon spark plug wires, Eichlin cap & rotor also new valve cover gaskets on her today. I will do the fuel pump next week most likely..
I ought to notice a difference in power after I do that fuel pump wouldn't you think considering the volume is low?

Replacing the fuel pump will certainly not hurt. I don't know what brands are 'good' for dodge..... I have been a GM man for years. This is my first Dodge truck.

My first "car", was a 72 dodge challenger though. Of course, the radio was the most advanced tech on that car.
