Default Cranking just a little longer than usual....

Just as the title states, I use to just turn the the key, now it takes a few seconds to fire up. All else is fine. It has about 182,000 on it, spark plugs were replaced about 2 months ago with factory champions, the champions that came out looked good and had 35,000 on them , this just started a few days ago.
I replaced the Dist. cap, rotor, and spark plug wiire's at 126,000, the cap and rotor are borg warner selects and wires are factory mopar ones I bought from the dealer. IAC and throttle postion sensor have been replaced within a year, I cleaned the throttle body at the same time.
Can it be time to replace the Dist. cap, rotor and wires already?

Im in the same boat. it started this week and only does it on the first morning start. I did my last tuneup two years ago so once work starts again I was gonna tune it up. It's worth a shot anyway OP, cap and rotor don't cost much at all. Although the real pain is the location :/

Several things can cause longer cranking.

1, poor spark which it looks like you have covered
2, low compression, worn rings burnt valves, worn timing chain.
3, and most likely, you have an injector that is leaking by. This is common and fuel pressure will bleed down when the truck sits for a while. You can check this out by turning the key to the on position, do you hear the fuel pump run? you should. I'm unfamiliar with dodge wiring of the fuel pump feed, but it should prime the system. start the truck and shut it off. then start it again. if it does not start slowly its because the fuel pressure is still high.

On GM vehicles the fuel pump relay primes the system with key on, if the relay fails it relys on the oil pressure sender to close the circuit and results in a delay until oil pressure is built up. I just checked the FSM 8w-10-12 shows only the relay feeding the pump, so that kinda stinks but eliminates a possible problem.

I'm not sure if I do or not?
Well I replaced the plugs but the cap, rotor and wires were replaced in 06 @ 126,000 miles, not sure if its time to do them again or not?

So run that test and see if its fuel pressure bleeding down through an injector causing your problem.
