Well I went and installed the new fuel pump this afternoon, all went well..
The one that came out was the original pump Chrysler logo and all, and it was manufactured by Airtex, I guess back then Airtex was the distributer for their oem pumps. Any one who needs a fuel pump check the seller apwdirect out on ebay he has several brand new fuel pumps and remanufactured starters up for auction..

I'll bet it was the pressure regulator and not the actual fuel pump.

That I'm not sure of.. The volume was low, pressure was good. The regulater on top of the tank also has a filter inside of it. When I took my old pump apart and I went to blow thru the regulater there was some restriction.
