STATUS REPORT: ok, dropped the pan...theres absolutly no metal shavings on magnet, no rocks, but had some water, about 2 quarts of water entered the tranny..

Also i just got back from getting a drain plug installed (17 bucks, cant complain with that) So that will make this MUCH easier. when i dropped the pan, i dumped alot of fluid on myself lol.

So im eating lunch, then installing pan, fill up, run through gears, drain, and repeat...I HOPE TO GOD THIS WORKS.....im going to drain fill 3 times, and then change filter and everything on the last time......please o please, will the truck gods save my tranny.......

That's a pretty good price, is that installed or would that be with you doing the R&R?

damn i never thought of that....since the tranny took on water the tcase did too right?

also im done flushing...im changing filter now....just letting all the fluid drip out....then fill up, and hopefully she goes....im scared to death right now....when shifting through the gears, i can feel it go into drive, and reverse, and let up when in neutral....hopefully thats a good sign.

The transfer case has a vent on top of it too, so it probably did get water in it.

well i just flushed it...and it does shift now, but no 3rd gear....will shift to 2nd and back to 1st no problem, but theres no third....can the transfer case cause this problem? im hoping if i flush that, everything will be good.

also i hear theres a "drum seal" in there and water can eat it up quickly, and this makes it so theres not enough pressure to shift...anyone think this is my problem? it doesnt slip anymore....just wont go into 3rd or o/d

Your governor probably isn't making suficient pressure for the trans to shift into 3rd... Have your buddy hook up a pressure gauge to the governor port, there should be roughly 1psi for every mph of wheel speed. If you don't the OD section needs to come off so you can access the governor assembly. You'll have to take it apart and clean it...
