Default Misses when given alot of throttle?

So its an off and on problem, starting like 4 months ago. I will give it about half throttle and it seems like it will die for like a second, then it kicks me back in the seat and runs good. But then sometimes it will not do it for 2-3 weeks. could my cat, that i still havent gutted yet, cause this or should i look at other things

Is it a misfire? The sluggish condition you Describe sounds like Vac leak or timing chain wear, not a misfire.

well, wats a missfire like? all it does it like im letting of the throttle. Iv also noticed it spark knocks more when its doing that miss. When it does not miss all week, no spark knock at all.

Spark knock would be more in Line with a misfire condition. When is the last time the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs were replaced?. If you use a cheaper set of wires, the spark can jump between wires and cause a misfire situation.

The coil output could be suspect as well.

I have never changed the coil, but i did a tune up starting a year and half ago. Did 8.2 taylor wires, ngk v power plugs, mopar perfomance dist. cap and rotor, is it possible that the sparkplugs are junk, from my plenum gasket going?

if the 5 and 3 spark wires touch it can cause misfires for they fire right after one another, and i believe its the same with 6 and 2 spark wires.

ok i will check that, i though it was 5 and 7 you had to be carefull about. Because of how close they are and they are right next to eachother in the fireing order
