I had a mystery leak for a while, same spot as you, 6x6 right where the feet go. I sealed up my third brake light, made sure the a/c drain wasn't clogged, etc... Then I resealed the rubber tar substance that surrounds the a/c drain hose where it exits the fire wall, and also got a 90 degree turn down, and so far, no more wet carpet.

Also, just for grins, do you park your truck facing downhill?

I have this problem too. Started after I pulled my engine. I thought maybe the hood not being latched was letting water in. It's still doing it though. Maybe I'll have to get a LED 3rd brake light and test that theory lol

That's what my plan was, I was getting fed up, I actually did rip it all out and was ready to herculine my floor like some of the jeep guys do, and then just put in a few drains. I decided to give the carpet another try, got some carpet shampoo, and pressure washed my carpet, couldn't believe the stuff that came out lol. Smells like new carpet new, and no wet carpet since, crossed fingers.

When you guys noticed the problem, could you feel the wet carpet on the surface or not until you pulled it up?

You could feel it on the surface, it actually soaked the carpet from the bottom up. I don't know about you guys but my padding was toast, mold everywhere, I went ahead and got some new padding.
