yeah, my rubber floor mats would have tons of condensation on the bottom and thats how i knew my floor was wet. i've had it pulled up now since monday and left the windows down, hopefully its drying out. its so damn humid in GA though that the atmosphere can't absorb anymore water :|

well if its been like this before i got the truck, im sure the padding might have some mold...did you just cut off the back padding and lay the new padding on the ground laying the carpet over it?

Another option to removing nasty smells is to use an eliminator product. We use one here in the hospitals from North Woods called Molecule Plus 100. Removes even the toughest of orders. You can spray it, or wipe it on a surface to remove smells. Fabreeze can't touch the stuff. It removes the smell of cancer and other maloders. Surely that has got to be stronger than ***.

jesus...sounds like it removes death...

for the RTV did yall use the sealant or gasket maker on the third brake light and the 90* tube?

i stopped by AZ and of course they said they couldn't help me or that they didn't carry the 90* tube or gasket for the third brake light. thats why i hate AZ, they don't offer to help just yes or no, nothing like "well we have this as an option"...nothing.

i don't knopw if i like the idea of putting RTV on the third brake light and then having that touch the paint. if i have to remove to replace bulbs theres gonna be black crap stuck to my paint where the 3rd light sits...

I saw an episode of Mythbusters not long ago, they tried to remove the smell of a dead body that had sat in a Camaro for three day. Nope, they sent the car to the crusher

Go to your local Ford dealer, my dad is the service manager at one down here and they keep them in stock because a few of the older Fords had the same problem. Just make sure you tell them the correct diamater. I want to say it is 5/8 off the top of my head but you will have to measure. The RTV won't mess with your paint either, I've had it on for a few years, and when I went to switch to an LED 3rd brake light, it popped right off, I could pull the old RTV off by hand, and put on new. Just don't put too much on, just a nice film. As for the A/C drain hose, lay it on nice and heavy.

Just let the RTV dry before you put the light back on.
Why can't you get an elbow from lowes? I'm sure you can get the right size from where they keep electrical conduit if not where the PVC is at.
