i was checking to see how my floor held up after a heavy rain last night (so far so good) and i noticed a plastic trash bag stuffed in the corner. does anyone else have this? i pulled it out, and it felt like insulation was inside so i stuffed it back. there is also a plastic/rubber wirre that was tangled up in the bag. any idea of what that wire is for? i don't believe it is an electric wire.

I think that plug has something to do with the airbags.

Accelerometer for the air bag. be CAREFUL with that. It is what controls the airbag deployment.... I watched a mechanic get killed by a deploying airbag.....

You don't remove it. If you're going to remove the dash then you need to take your battery's negative terminal loose and hold the key to the start position for about 20 seconds to discharge the capacitors in the PCM and then you can unplug it and all the other plugs you need to unplug.

how the hell did you get in there to seal the drain? i can barely see mine after taking off the aluminum shield much less get some silicone on it
i have the same wet carpet on my 02 durango and its not from rain leaking in (the durango stays in the garage 90% of the time) and my wife was driving it with a friend the other day and she said water was dripping on her foot when they made left hand turns, i tried to repeat this yesterday driving around but could not
i also know its not coolant because my radiator is still full and the water in the floor is clear pure water with no antifreeze smell

Get a coat hanger, and prod the a/c drain hose, then get some compressed air and blow it through the drain hose. Then take some black RTV, and seal around the drain hose (refer to 3rd pic on post #37). The durango's setup could be different from the ram.

truegent- How is it holding up? Everything still dry?

my ac doesn't work so I can rule the drain out. I need to look into this 3rd break light. Either that or it's my cb ant wire
