seal around the tube on the firewall with RTV. and attach a 90* turn-down to get the condensation away from the firewall and the crack.

If you wanna kill odors, just get some fabreeze..... Or, if you want to clean your carpets some, go to family dollar (dollar general??) and pick up a bottle of "Awesome". A little bit goes a long way, and the stuff most certainly lives up to its name. (great engine degreaser as well....)

yeah i tried to remove the tube extending from the firewall. i stopped after a while of wiggling on it bc i thought i was gonna break the plastic tube off. it juts out about an inch and has a soft, foam like circular seal around it at the base. mayeb the best way to mess with this is after moving the evap core. isnt this tube part of the core?

just to be sure, i stuck a coat hanger into the tube and it hit a hard surface (like a wall) about one inch deep..nothing clogging it

Why were you trying to remove the tube? You can and will break it if your not careful. You attach the 90 degree turn down on to that little drain tube. The foam circular seal is what you need to put some RTV on.

^ +1 STOP wiggling it before you break it.
the cracks in the soft foam is where the water is weeping back in.

attach a turn down.
rtv around the tube and firewall to re-seal it. use black color so it won't show.

There you go! Yeup, definitely keep hosing everything (except a/c drain hose) to see if your getting any water.
