normal transmission temp
Alright guys i just got done installing my transmission temp gauge. The qestion i have is tho what is normal operating temp. I dont see a point of a gauge unless i know what to look for. Thanks

Another question i got is will compression fittings hold up to the pressure.
I am having second thoughts now, i have had them on a brake line for over 40k miles and no problems but transmission lines i dont know

Not sure about where you are, but, here in michigan, compression fittings on brake lines are illegal...... considering that brake line pressure can be north of 1000 PSI..... I would pick up a flaring tool, couple flare nuts, and a union, and replace the compression fittings.
ya i would but dont feel like dropping a gas tank and its a farm truck, never see roads, but it does have miles on it.

Yes compression fittings will "work" on the the trans lines, but they will fail eventually. Could be tomorrow or 10 years from now but they always start leaking or completely come part (this goes for compression fittings in general, no matter the use). I never use them for anything other than temporary and emergency repairs.
