Default Blew a brakeline today

So I just got back from college today and pulled my truck out of the garage and installed my new hypertech programmer. I drove my truck to the end of my driveway and hit the brakes and they went straight to the floor. I knew it as soon as it happened I blew a line. Luckly I was still in my driveway and was able to park it safely. Just sucks because I haven't been home since christmas and was wanting to drive my truck and go offroading. Just my luck ....looking at the truck I think a fitting rusted out which hopefully will be a easy fix. My dad always helps me wrench so hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrrow

Your wheels don't look black at all?????

If it's gonna break, in the driveway is the BEST spot.

Yeah. I'd consider myself pretty lucky. It would have been scary driving to a stop light with no brakes

i had that happen to me a couple of days ago when i was putting on my air bags, i used a small screwdriver to lift the brake line so i wouldn't hit it with the drill bit and it crumbled, but from the looks of it you need the 40" brake line, you will have a hard time making those factory bends but this is how i ran mine.

Down shift the tranny and parking break will do the trick.

If you are talking about my truck's wheels. They are dick cepek dc-1 blacks because they have black on the inside and the spokes are polished. The original dc-1 wheels were completely polished or chromed so thats why they call these wheels, "black"

Yep. Wondered about that. That explains it though. Thanks.

Actually the line that blew one mine was the one that runs from both front brakes over the front axle. It measured at 69" and we have all the bending tools to make the factory bends. A new line was only $4.99...should have it fixed by noon today
