Default Put on my Poormans TB today

just got through with the install. went fairly smooth took the longest time to clean the sensors and swap them over. while i was at it i whacked the muffler off and only running my cat, mine still had factory exhaust and i measured to exhaust and it was 3". i dont think anybody has changed it. the throttle response is alot better now and a little bit louder. if anybody wants my stock TB just PM me and ill send it out. I highly recommend this mod if you dont have the money for a fastman

Did you bore it out to 52mm or just knock the flutes off the top?

The exhaust pipe at the exit behind the tire is 3", however, its not 3" all the way through.

Right before it makes the final curve to exit out the side, it expands from 2.5" to 3". From the rear of the catalytic converter to that expansion, its 2.5". There is a reducer right after the cat, as the cat is a 3" in/out.

That goes for 2000-2001 model years, and if the pipe is still factory specs.

I second Sheriff's question...

Gonna have to make some calls... I seem to have a spare throttle body sitting in the garage.

Thank You.

I used a milling machine to bore mine out to 1.978, Fastman TB's are 1.980 and my stock plates are too small, I had a high idle with my poorman because the plates let too much air into the TB for the IAC to compensate for. I got some 2" plates and I still need to sand them down to the right size, that's just time consuming though. I believe they need to be somewhere around 1.988 to fit correctly. but this is going for the 50mm TB bore for a 5.2l motor.
