Default Truck running hot

I was on the way to pick my son up and I noticed my truck was running hot. It's running with the needle at the 2nd 0 on 200. It's full of coolant the water pump and t stat are only 5 months old. Anybody got any ideas?

Your engine will run right around 210*, even though it comes stock with a 195* thermostat. If ambient air temp is up there, it will run a bit hotter.

It's about 94 or so out today. It's never run this hot before though. I'm gonna try to flush the system out today.

sometimes a thermostat will only last a month or so.I had the same thermostat in for a year and a half, changed it then i went through 3 of them in 5 months. So sometimes it a hit or miss getting a goodthermostat. Good luck

i can tell you right now its ur thermostat. i had same exactly problem when i drove from oklahoma back to south carolina. halfway it started goin up and then rested at over 200 but never went up more. it would flux back down to like 190 then go back up over 200. i went straight home replaced the thermostat with a 180, and i have not had it even think bout movin over 180 since.
