So are Battleships, but they're obsolete due to the Arleigh Burke class destroyers and Aegis Class cruisers.

I firmly believe the aircraft carrier's days are numbered because of remote drones. If anything, the carrier fleet will probably be reduced to 8 or so in the long run.

Quote"and its funny the people who wrote back and tryin to sound all tough or something, for instance "the guy who said to shut up and listen and i might learn something?" wtf guys..."

Nah, not trying to sound tuff, just telling you how it is.

If you would take the time to listen and read what is being replaced on these posts, you would be able to understand the reason behind it. Just saying commando.

Don't get all mad while you're out there. Just chill and come back home with all your legs and arms. When your back and playing in your Ram like all of us, something will break and you'll be glad that you have this forum. CHEERS!

I thought every job was supposed to have extra nuts and bolts regardless of alcohol being involved.

GC99RAM im done talkin bout this i wasnt ever tryin to sound tough or mad. im leavin it at that.

anyway, no they are not gettin rid of the f16 until we have something to replace it with, which is supposed to be the f35. but yea they stopped producing f22s cuz of the cost of them. so we only have like 100 f22s in the air force. they are still in production of the f35. so it will be another 5-10yrs before the f16 is totally retired. but im out in 2011 w00tw00t.

I seem to have just the opposite problem... I run out of nuts and bolts before the job is done... Then I am left staring at these extra parts, that obviously bolted on before....... but, no bolts?

That, and the magically mysterious disappearing retainer...... Set it down, get things positioned, reach back for it.... and its.... Gone????? But, I JUST SET IT DOWN!!! Ok, get out from under truck, look around. Hhhmm... nowhere to be seen. Pat myself down, maybe it stuck to my clothes or some such? Nope. Ok, move the truck.... draft another set of eyes to help..... Nope. Gone. Just.... Gone. Seriously, not like the damn thing can fall off the DRIVEWAY...... what the hell is that all about?

Friggin' Gremlins is what it is. The little shiatz will move fasteners, wrenches, and the like from where I had said item, requiring me to go mad searching the garage. Once back to my original spot, voila -- right where I put it

haha! I hate that...I spend about 90% of the time wandering around looking for tools and parts. About half of that time I just need to remember to look at what's in my hand. Then again I'm convinced my shop floor is a doorway to some other dimension that only tools and parts can pass through.
