I guess I got lucky, It was just a matter of wiring for me. BUT I didn't change as many things as you did. I hooked my 2003-ECM and TCM up to a 2004 Motor and trans, and used the Dakota PDC.

Yeah I changed everything over, with the exception of the headlights, taillights, windshield wiper motor, power windows, and power door locks. I had my share of wiring but it was just wiring accessories up.

Man , did you change the gauges for the newer style ? It sounds to me like you opened a big *** can of worms by changing the PDC , Gauges , and steering column. I left all that alone on mine just to avoid the headache ..Did you also change and rewire the box inside the cab ?

On my donor everything was controlled by the pdc under the hood. I essentially pulled evertying out of my truck and swapped in everything off the hemi. That was actually the easy part. The windows work the overhead console works. And my gauges all work. I even can get trouble codes off my digital display.

I can't wait til' you get it done.
I'm doing this YJ Hemi Wrangler, I'm going to have to swap "EVERYTHING", Literally.. from my Dak-to the Jeep and get a 4x4 Manual transmission..I thought about pulling the body off the frame, shorten it then put the Jeep body on the Dak frame. It won't work.
I,m not looking forward to doing this swap, I had a nice Hemi Truck..Now I have 2 Kids and a Harley..

98 Big red I have some pictures of the interior up on the thread on page 5.

The YJ will be sweet with a hemi. I don't know if they make a manual tcase for the 545rfe trans that was part of the reason I swapped the Dash. The 4x4 controls are on the dash on the newer models. I had a manual tcase before, Now I get to make my front axle a posi front.

While searching for a trans, for this swap, I've been told -2003 was the last year of the Dodge manual transmission behind the 4.7-or the Hemi , I found a 03' 5-speed Manual-for $650.00 I think that's what I'm going to use..I thought about doing a 545rfe, But that style Jeep just don't seem right with an automatic Transmission..The question now is, do I use my ECM and TCM or can I bypass the TCM and just use the ECM for the motor.??
