Hemi Swap into a 2nd Generation Ram
Pdc and tcm came yesterday afternoon while I was at work. I will be putting it in today if I can find the time. I may have to go into work early. installed the new PDC from George. It fixed my electrical gremlins. I still can't get her to fire up. I am thinking it is bad gas since the gas coming out of the fuel line pressure release is yellow and varnish looking. I am going to give it a fuel treatment tomorrow after work buy some new gas and see if it will go. If it doesn't fire I will be back to square one but at least I figured out my electrical gremlins. I am stumped that's for certain. I have a buddy who fixes cars on the side I may have him take a look at it.
update-I have two codes one is P0113 IAT sensor I haven't put in yet, the other P0517 Battery temp sensor that is unplugged.
I went to try to start it and it did the weird blow back thing it did From the Throttle body spacer. Sounds like a cannon going off under the hood. Any help on that problem is much appreciated.

After researching a bunch I think I may have found the problem I think I have a bad cam or crank shaft sensor. I am going to have to check tomorrow though. I don't get off work until 930 tonight.
It back fires out of the throttle Body ? Timing sounds about right , Things like this is when you have to wish it was Carberated with a distributor Huh ?
Man~ Those motors don't like Funky Fuel.. Mine won't even Idle right with 87 Octane..I have to run 91 Plus .
I'm glad the PDC killed those Gremlins .. I hope you get that thing running soon, we should be writing about fuel mileage and track times about now...You're patience is to be admired , You have stuck with it through thick and thin for things that were not you're doing.. I have a feeling the light at the end of the tunnel "really" is the end this time and not a train ,Looks like I'm going to have to find someone else to bug..
By the time you get done , you'll have Veteran under you're name...Like me...lol..Good luck 2~Morrow...

Thanks guys I appreciate the support. I can Definetly see the light.
What its doing isn't really a backfire so much as just a pressure release. The fuel coming out isn't ignited just pressurized. It has me stumped for sure but if the crank or cam sensors are off it kills the timing and no fuel will burn then the fuel air mixture gets pressurized and blows out the TB. That's the only thing I can think of since I replaced my valve springs. I don't think not having an EGR purge solenoid would cause it. Its very strange.

Hey been following this thread for a while now and am glad to see someone else trying this swap. Ive just recently bought a hemi and am working on collecting a few more little parts to start my swap into my 98 ram next winter.
Keep at it man im sure ull get it all figured out
