Hemi Swap into a 2nd Generation Ram
I couple of weeks ago on "the powerblock" on spike tv, they had a stand alone engine management system, they were even saying with the system that you can go and put a hemi in any vehicle!
Might be worth a look, especially if your having so much trouble getting the factory system to work.
Just a thought!

this is your stand alone..
http://www.shophemi.com/p-186-fast-xfi.aspx
and this has all kind of builds and research on the subject. they've been putting them in early musclecars for years
http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/...splay.php?f=83
but so far its been my understanding that everyone here has just wanted to retrofit from original harness to original harness which may not be the easiest way but gives the builder a better satisfaction
yeah I have looked at all the stand alone harnesses , but I wanted to do a poormans hemi swap 1st because I am a poor man and 2nd so others could do one on a budget.
Mfarrel I appreciate the labeling I hadn't found a complete one yet.

it might be frustrating for you but i commend you for staying with it

If a swap like the ones on this sight were as easy as plug and play "just buy a harness", everyone with an underpowered ram would be doing it. I've done two and there are still things I haven't figured out. simple things can make things not work right , or not work at all..If one wire is different or one sensor don't operate the same way , it creates problems..
When I did the Dakota swap , I couldn't use a 2003~up, single PDC because of the wires coming from the fuse panel inside the cab. I would have had to bypass the whole inside system..The Ram was easier to do , but still had "And Has" complications.. Although I drive it almost daily , I'm not finished.. I still need to change my brake switch and re~wire it because there are two wires that don't function the some things as the 4.7 Ram did..I have to change the driver side wheel hub and add a Speed sensor..My EVAP PURGE system and NVLD~ are not hooked up right because the 4.7 and 5.7 are different..Some early rams don't have a separate condenser fan, and the A/C hoses are different ..
The 02 , sensors are different and the truck will run like crap unless these things are at least Close to being right..
I bring up these things because they are the easiest things to overlook..Kinda like a foot note of things to check once a swap reaches that point..
BTWay~ DDI-----Any Updates ? I haven't forgot about you , It took a while for me to get the money together..Got that "Italian sounding Disease" Funds~a~low..Just before I told you I'd send that , I broke my Piggy Bank to get a back seat for my truck , No regrets , I found a Brand NEW 40~60 seat for $100.00 , It even came with the storage floor pans and all hardware.. Have u done anything about the s/h ? Just wondering..I'll P.M. a receipt and tracking number if you need it..It should be there Weds..If not let me know..

OH ~ I was just looking back through the pics again...I noticed you're missing some relays , Do you need a few .. I noticed you're missing #72 , In the picture..That's the starter relay..Here's a list of relays...
#56~a/c condenser fan relay.
#57~Engine control-ASD Relay..< Very important...
#58~Fuel pump relay
#59~Trans. Relay
#60~Wiper High-Low relay.
#61~spare
#62~Fog lamp
#63~Adjustable pedal relay
#64~a/c clutch relay
#65~spare
#66~02~(California)
#67~spare
#68~spare
#69~spare
#70~spare
#71~spare
#72~Starter solenoid (Relay).
#73~Park Lamp relay..
I see now you have this info a couple pages back..I'd check them anyway..You have a cover coming with a diagram under it..

I have to wait to get paid my wife says. I will be sending money tomorrow. Sorry about the delay wife is the boss of the money. I set up a western union account online do I just send it to Andrews SC and give you a confirmation number?
That will work. There's only one Western Union in Andrews S.C..
"Here's one for ya"..I can't figure out why my interior light , and third brake light aren't working and there's no power going to the plug under the dash from the PDC..
So I took a test light to the PDC under the hood..
_-_-_-_-Results_-_-_-_-_
Fuses #32-33-34-49..Are all dead..
Fuses #26-37-44-61.. WORK...
Here's the problem with that~ #32-33-34-49, are tail lamps and 02 sensors...There supposed to work...
Fuses number #26-37-44-61..Are supposed to be spares. There not supposed to work...
I have the PDC lid that came with the PDC . I guess the wiring harness is set up different. It's a good thing , when I filled up the PDC with sensors and fuses, I put something in every spot , even if it was a spare..You might want to try that..
In the meantime I,m going to try and figure out what's going on with mine...
