I have been studying you're motor..Check the driver side manifold behind the throttle body.. You have a 3/8 ID hose going there from you're brake booster.. There should be a smaller one beside it.."Maybe behind that one".... It goes to the EVAP PURGE and also where the brake booster is plugged off..It also hooks to the hard line laying on you're passenger valve cover... Mine is hooked up this way.
You have a direct hole in the intake manifold with that line off .. That's the only thing I found that might cause problems other than a crossed wire from the ECM , or a plug wire..
You've done good with this swap , and I feel you're frustration.. get that hose right and try it..Let me know what happens..

so I ran out before work to check the hoses to see if they were correct. turns out I forgot to put them back on after I swapped out my valve springs so now I have to go buy 1 hose hi block them off just to see what would happen if I tried to start with no vacuum leak and there's a pretty big explosion out of the throttle body I'm going to pull the heads off just to be safe I'll make sure everything is torqued down right and adjusted correctly before I try to start it again.

Hook up you're EVAP Purge while you're at it. Not saying it's going to make a load of difference but if the truck runs , you'll have to hook it up any way..I'm so curious to see the difference it makes , I almost took my hoses off this morning just to see if my truck back fires through the carb..
I've got my fingers crossed for you..

I've got it all tore down I'm going to check the timing chain probly tomorrow I just have to go get a chain wrench in order to pull my harmonic balancer of but I'm almost convinced that it's got to be the timing chain that's wrong.

What a bitch man .. I really hope you find the problem right away and it don't end up being one of those , "I can't find anything wrong" tear downs..

Having trouble getting the bolt to break loose? Put a socket on it, and then smack the ratchet handle in the right direction to break it loose, and then it should come right out.
