Crank bolt was cross threaded. Having hit it with the impact wrench it was in there so tight no way to get it out. Snapped it trying to back it out with my breaker bar. Going to be taking it to a machine shop in the next coupe weeks need the bolt removed and the crank shaft rethreaded. Was thinking about just welding the vibration damper on but i think with the way this thing is testing me it won't be long before I'm
having to tear into the engine again.

Any progress?

I've been reading since day 1 man. You've had quite a battle.. But you'll have quite a beast when your done! Your almost there man don't quit now. Even if you have to swap the motor, the wiring is done and everything else is done. Keep it up!

So, essentially, the biggest problem has not been in the swap, but in using a bad 5.7L for the swap. Is that right?

It's going okay I am just trying to scrounge up enough money to be able to afford to have a machinist Tapout my crank bolt.

that is correct the hardest part has been that the engine wasn't mechanically sound and not the actual Swap Itself. heck I've had the engine swapped in for over a year now
