wow was the 3rd gen dash the same dimensions as the 2nd gen or did you haveto hack it all up?

 

You have to modify the fire wall on the Gen 2 to take the new dash and steering wheel. As far as if its cheaper to buy a stroker that I'm not sure on. I didn't even price one out. I was trying to get away from the 46RE more than my bullet proof 360. That 6.1 will be sick when you get done with it. My whole build has cost me very little and I still have some more parts to Craigslist. I have spent $1,569 and I figure I have another three hundred to spend. And on parts sales I have made $1,595. So this has made me a tidy little profit of $36 dollars. When all is said and done I will probably break even.

 

got to hand it to you...that is way more than i could ever consider doing

 

Sweet- Have you drove it any Distance yet? How does it shift- Drive etc...Do all the gauges work..How about the Cruise control ? AND what did you do about the A/C lines.?

When some-one is talented enough to not only do a sweet swap like this, BUT make enough off of it-to put gas in too...Excellent...Can't beat that..

I did but turns put the APPS was off a Cummins. Thank you craigslist. I'm going to be checking some local salvage yards this weekend.

 

Is that why the wiring diagram "Pin-Out" I sent you wouldn't work.? How many wires does it have ? and are they the same color ?

I got My tcm - ecm and complete wiring harness for $250.00. with S/h..There in Spakane WA..You can veiw a parts list on there web-sight and get prices..

 

Thanks Hemidak I will give him a call. All my searching around here turned up lots of rams in my body style but none in the new body style with a hemi all had the junk 4.7. I sold the cummins APPS already it was totally different it mounted on the accelerator and not unnder the battery tray. I'm trying to avoid too much cross matching of parts essentially I want to end up with all hemi electrical and power train in a Gen 2 body. As soon as I get the APPS and PWS pump I can fire her up. The hemi fuel pump dropped right into my gas tank so I just need to wire in trailer lights and rear brakes and turn signals and I'm finished wiring. Then I get to change some brake lines and steering lines. And I'm done. The end is in sight.

 

Don't the Hemi Have a Power Steering pump.? You have Rack & Pinion style ps right ?
