I run Amsoil synthetics in everything. I change oil every 20k. Have done it in 3 different vehicles with no ill effects. A 2000 Dodge Neon 2.0L that always got the $hit ran out of it. A 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L that got offroaded to death and now my Ram.

At my current pace, I would be changing my oil once per year at 20K intervals. How often did you change the filter? From some of what my dad told me (former automotive engineer) people could go two filter changed for every oil change and just top off whatever's lost from the filter change.

I'd believe that. But oil and filters are so damn cheap that I'll just change them both.

I grease every 1,000 miles...

I'm changing oil roughly once a year myself. I used to change the filters every 6 months as Amsoil recommended but Amsoil now makes a extended service filter that they say can go 1 year or 25k miles.
