Started taking my front end out today and ran into a little problem does anyone know how to get the cam on the lower control arms loose? I got the pass side nut off the bolt then I went over to the drivers side and the bolt snaped off at the back of the nut. I tryed to tap it out but it would not move. Any help would be great. Thanks

Probably rusted in place. The bolts pass thru a steel sleeve, and those parts don't really move much, so, they like to fuse themselves together..... Such fun we have for you.

If you want to re-use the bushings, douse it with chemicals, and use a BFH, and a punch, to drive it out. Knocking it back and forth some to get it to break loose is generally required. You don't want to bend the 'ears' of the mount, and you don't want to drive the sleeve thru the little hole....... No fun at all.

If you don't care about the bushings..... Use the hot wrench. Burn the other end of the bolt off, being VERY careful not to destroy the hole in the mount, and, once the control arm is out, drive out the old bushing, drive in the new one.

Well I started to pound the bolt out with a BFH al it did was start to bend the ears. So I just dropped the lowers on the frame. so how should I get them out now? I will take some pictured in a little bit to show you what I am talking about if you don't know. Thanks

That means the sleeve is hanging on VERY tight to the bolt. Chemicals, or heat, are about your only choices.

You can try the parts store, but, don't hold your breath. Best bet is probably the dealer. They should want less than a hundred bucks for it......

Cam Bolt. Used for aligning the front end.

That's a big hole under the front of your truck.
