for the chevy cylinder upgrade, are they cylinders from a like year (1997-2001)?

FOr instance, if i were to walk into autozone and want to get the stock replacements, what vehicle would I tell them to put in their computer for the PN?

if i put the 86 mm 8800lb gvw caliper on vs the 80mm 7500lb gvw caliper would i need to swap in the 8800 lb master cylinder? I noticed that the 1500 and 7500lb gvw 2500 have the same master cylinder, but the 8800lb gvw 2500 and 3500 have a different master cylinder. brake boosters are the same tho. my current calipers have 75mm piston

the bore size is the same on both master cylinders. is ther something else that could make it improve braking?

There must be something different or they would have used the same master cylinder for both 1500-2500-3500

Yeah, but I forget when chevy went with the new body style (meaning new other things). I know a 1995 was the same as 1997.

I guess my question would be to know what "generation" years would I need.
