99 ram 2500 5.9 gas - no spark

haha found it, crap! its a $50 part. I hate throwing parts at this truck without knowing it will fix it. But this suggestion makes a the most sense so far. Does the distributor have to be removed to replace this part? I cant see or reach **** in this truck. Thanks.
Any other ideas?

The coil is firing, that implies that those parts are doing what they should. Since you are losing spark after the coil wire, I would take a long hard look at the dist cap, and rotor. Where did you get them? What brand?
I went thru THREE Auto Zone distributor caps in less than two weeks. They would work for a bit, and then fail. Leaving me on the side of the road. I was not a happy camper. Went to advanced, but a good quality cap and rotor (Accell), and never had a problem with it again.

I have now replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pickup... still wont start. Still get spark at the coil but do not get spark to the plugs.
If I put a wire and plug directly on the coil it fires, I get correct voltage to the coil hot wire.
Is it at all possible that it is the computer or the distributor? If the computer was faulty would I be getting spark at the coil and correct voltage to the coil hot wire?
I guess I will try a new coil next. I am going to go broke $50 at a time.
