The only time I think you might dislike the front LSD is while driving on the road in the snow/slush/ice... it could very well get uncontrollable at times. Wheeling tight trails in the winter could be a little tricky too. Other than that, i think your setup is the cats ***.

Yes my cad is still there.

I don't want to put a hole lot more money into this truck other than spending about 300 more in other upgrades ( tranny cooler, another filter and new timing chain).

And just to add for all the other threads I made about his no one else criticized the idea. I know silver hasn't been on much and heyyou might not have been around. Event the guys on dt didn't say anything. If it comes down to it I can always send it back and get some spider gears shipped out. Its always good to have other carriers around.

Don't worry about it man, your setup will be fine and is exactly how I would do mine. Since the front lsd acts as an open diff, you certainly won't notice it in 2wd regular everyday driving at all. I honestly don't think you'll have a problem in 4wd either since you toss it in when the conditions warrant it. That locker should help you keep out of 4wd anyway. imho, an lsd in the front will be more forgiving than a locker on the weak d44 axle. Your already rocking 33's. Tossing a locker, spool, etc in the front is just begging for trouble.

Do you guys know if when I put a no slip locker in my front end and have it in 2h will the locked keep the r&p spining all the time? I was thinking it would not spin because there is no power going to the locker so it will stay unlocked.

If it is a locker, then you should be correct. So long as you are in two wheel drive, it should stay unlocked. If it is a clutch type LSD though...... it is gonna wanna spin everything.

Ok, no clutches there. You are aware that thing installs in your existing carrier, right? Are the 4.56 gears going to fit on what you have now?

I just put 4.10 in my rear. I got a open carrier and front, rear gears from a offroad truck. That should be ok with the cad right

I think so, but, don't quote me on that..... There is an article on it here. They talk about running it by hand, but, really aren't very clear on it.....

But, even if it does remain locked, in 2wd, the worst thats gonna happen is your gas mileage will suffer a bit, (provided the CAD unlocks) due to the additional parts spinning. You may not even notice it. (but, if you have questionable u-joints in your front shaft, you WILL notice that. )
