The time has come (gears)
Well ordered my gears today 1,630 shipped. Yukno's 4.56's rear locker and front lsd well see how she pulls after break in. I'm pumped since the rear end has been making more and more noise.

Why I got one well I needed a new carrier so why not. I really don't have a reason other than that and from the begging it was my plan.
There both Detroit.
That price was for parts only the labor to get them installed is 675.
The shops around here wanted 2500 for parts and labor and I got a better deal buying them my self.

usually guys lock the front and LSD the rear.
The front locker stays open until you engage 4x4. The rear LSD makes it more street friendly.

Having a locker in the front is indeed bad news, truck tends to want to go in a straight line, regardless of what direction the tires are pointed. I think the LSD in the front is going to be problematic...... if the CAD is still there, even when in two wheel drive, you are going to be spinning the front driveshaft, simply because of the LSD. If won't affect your handling much, in 2wd, but, in 4wd...... turning is going to be interesting, and on ice/snow/really slick surfaces, it is going to be downright scary. (or, it has the potential to be so....)
That's why folks that use their trucks on road, as well as off, use something like an air locker, or some such in the front.
I will be most interested to see what your experience is, once you have it all installed. Please let us know.

WEll I wasn't about to spend 800 for an arb on a dana 44 its more of a waste than a lsd. The only thing I can do it counter act the lsd in the snow mud ect is to go slowly or kick it out of 4wd.
Yes my cad is still there.
I don't want to put a hole lot more money into this truck other than spending about 300 more in other upgrades ( tranny cooler, another filter and new timing chain).
And just to add for all the other threads I made about his no one else criticized the idea. I know silver hasn't been on much and heyyou might not have been around. Event the guys on dt didn't say anything. If it comes down to it I can always send it back and get some spider gears shipped out. Its always good to have other carriers around.
