Bump Bump

Need help as i am a newbie.

Ok so i got the part, however it does not come with instructions, adhesive or anything.

I dont know if it needs adhesive or not all i know is the one on my truck is tight as hell and i cant figure out whats gonna keep this new one in place.

It appears as though my mirror needs to come off the door, is that hard?

Once i do that how do i remove the old stripping?

Then how do i get the new stripping in place?

Im trying to do things myself but i just need a bit of help to get going.

The belt molding is held in place by little 'teeth' in the part that slips over the lip on the door skin. They hang on pretty tight...... Start at one end, with a small screwdriver, and start prying it up. (go parallel to the molding, not perpendicular, dont wanna scratch the paint.) New one is simply aligned where it needs to go, and then tap it on place with the palm of your hand. (having the window rolled all the way down makes this exercise easier.)

If the mirror needs to come off, you will have to remove the interior door panel, and there are screws (bolts? something.....) on the inside. Careful with it though, the little plastic clips hang on to the door pretty tight, and will rip the slots out of the door panel before they let go of the door. There is a special tool for pulling them, that is rather handy to have..... there is another tool for removing window cranks if you have manual windows....

Ok issue then

The new one has no teeth.

I went outside with it and held it up to the door, it certainty looks the correct piece, but it doesn't have those these. I started to peel the other one off a bit just so i could see the teeth, yeah this one doesn't not have them.

I got this part from LMC, i know i ordered the right one, dont know if the sent me the right one, anyone have an issue with LMC sending out wrong parts?

The label on the part says door glass outer, left hand.

Which is what i need, i know sometimes after market parts change, maybe this is the new way they do it?
