Default Need help with drivability issues

Got the trans in the womans 98 SS/T and now it has a drivability issue,at times it acts like its running out of gas and wont idle too good and when its acting up I can hear a loud vacumn sound coming out of the aircleaner and it smells lean. I checked the codes and they are P0351 and P0132 which it always had and ran good even with those codes so I checked the fuel pressure and its a steady 50 so anyone have a idea on what could be causing this issue,it probably would not hurt to change the fuel filter as who knows when it was last changed and had a recent fuel pump and it sounds normal.

P0132 1/1 O2S Shorted To Voltage

P0351 Ignition Coil # 1 Primary Circuit (I think this is referring to drawing too much current.)

Either of these is going to give you problems. Need to fix those, and see if the problem persists.

I understand the O2 sensor but how can the ignition coil draw too much current.

Don't have a clue.

Possibly internally shorted? Would more than likely give a dead miss on that cylinder.

Shorted primary windings is the most common cause. Failed dielectric (as from a punctured case) allowing leakage current is another.

FWIW, the most common symptom of a failing oxygen sensor is the one you describe.

what year is your truck? I have a spare stock coil I can send you for free.

Also, I had the same problem. I was also getting missfire codes. check these:

1. all your injector connectors. Make sure they are tight and have no wiggle. If there is wiggle they will miss.
2. Make sure that your coil wire is routed down through the valley in between the heads and intake (just below the fuel rail and along ahere the injectors are). That coil wire can draw interference from the spark wires.

Are you using an MSD box or some other ignition system? That is the only time I've ever seen that code in a Dodge.

P0351 is a soft code that shows on a reader, but doesn't trigger a CEL.

You need the tach adapter P/N 8910 to get rid of that code.

There is a sticker on the fan shroud saying its equipped with a MSD system but looks stock to me,I could not see the usual MSD box on it anywhere.
