Had a few things come up today, so the e-fan installation will happen tomorrow morning, hopefully I will be able to post the DIY and all pics the same night. Stay tuned!
As those fans do not have a shroud that covers the entire radiator, my advice would be to stagger them high/low, so that all the cooling channels in the radiator get some flow over them. If you center them both, the extreme upper and lower channels in the radiator will not be cooled (other than by ram air, which is only when you are moving.) that really hot coolant will mix with the other coolant and raise the overall temp of the coolant right at the end of the radiator where the trans oil heat exchanger is.
I would like to publicly thank Matt for his advice. I reinstalled my factory shroud over my electric fan tonight. Was a bit of a pain getting it to fit over the universal brackets at a few points, but now not only do I not have zip ties holding my coolant bottle and washer fluid bottle (so it looks a lot better), but I took it for a decent test drive and it actually DOES seem cool better.
How was the installation? Did the kit come with a switch for in the cab to shut them off completely for water crossings? All wires /relays included? Instructions?
Sorry for the delay on this install fellas, I got caught up for the last two days getting all my front and rear brakes new...New calipers, EBC pads, new Thermo quiet rear pads, spring kit, wheel cylinders, ect. New hub bearings
I promise this E-fan kit will be installed by Tuesday at the very latest!!!!
