so now that i have my body lift is done i want to do a little work on the engine. i was thinking about headers, 1.7 rockers, and a tuner. is this the "best combination" for the money or should i buy something else?

How is the water pump, and timing chain and gears? Have you had to do your plenum yet?

Fixing your air intake so it actually gets cold air would help.....

I was curious what the price difference between the RR's, and a cam is......

i havent done water pump or chain. i did do the plenum, i made my own aluminum plate. i dont think there is a whole lot of a difference in price between rr's and cam. but its easier to put rr's in... and it does the same thing....

Could go tb, 1.7 & tuner

Cam will be about 120 more, 200 if you need pushrods

Actually.... the rockers will only give you more lift. Won't give any more duration, or change overlap. (not that you really wanna do that anyway.... at least, not by much)

On the flip side though... cams seem to run 300 to 450...... and the rockers can be had for about 250.... and you are VERY correct, MUCH easier to install. For the price/performance/ease of installation equation, the RR's come out on top on that one. Have to keep that in mind.

Tuner: PM Hemifever here on this website.

TB spacer won't do squat on our trucks. What it WILL do is make your wallet lighter. That's it.

SCT & Hemifever only way to go
Just the cam alone is 350+ (KRC) Hughes 360+, springs, retainers & prods extra
Yeah tb spacer is just a paper wt, dont do squat.

about 50, if the rr are still 315. But then you need springs, rods..etc...
