Default 96 1500 Infinity Radio

I have the Infinity radio setup in my '96 1500. The radio is screwed up (does funky things on its own).

I was searching eBay and came across the radio below. The seller doesn't know what the radio came out of, but knows (obviously) it came out of a Dodge/Chrysler vehicle.

I have not taken my factory radio out to look, so I was wondering if the radio below would work with my setup.

Any and all help would be great.

The mounting tabs are different. It belongs on some Chrysler brand vehicles but won't fit other Dodge or Plymouth vehicles. Its the only thing thats perventing you to install the unit.

Unless you are getting that radio for less than $30 shipped, there is no reason why you shouldn't just buy a mid range Pioneer deck for less than $100.00. That would let you play MP3 format songs and usually allow you to plug in something like an iPod or Zune. Not to mention you'll see better performance out of your speakers than you would with that deck.

Just my opinion.

Welp...only way to find out if it works if you look where the mounting tabs are...

It definitely won't fit my 96 Ram. The most common i've seen were the radios that had a tab on the right side and on the left bottom side of the radio. Thats what i've got in my truck. The unit I pulled is out of a 99 Dodge Caravan Sport.

Well that sucks.

I like the factory look is the reason for going back with a factory radio. I guess I will have to look into an aftermarket though since every place I have found a factory CD player they think it has gold in it.
