Default New to me 98 Ram 1500

Just thought I would chime in. Im not new tp the forums but I dont really post much just kinda lurk and take in the info. I been trying to find a Ram for a long time now and today was my lucky day.

I picked up a 98 ram 1500 SLT with 171,000 miles. The truck looks pretty good with the exception of a few flaws in the clear coat and a cracked glasspack. The interior is awesome. Its in almost perfect condition.

here are some pics:

thanks! having a bit of trouble with the ac though. seems if i get on the gas my ac goes out but if im just cruising its blowing cold and hard. I drove it home on the interstate and it seemed like when i had to pass or climb a steep hill it would cut off then right back on once the rpms settle.

Sounds like whats happening is the clutch on the condenser is disengaging so it isn't robbing power from the engine so you accelerate back up to speed.

YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!

This is a common problem with 2nd gens... there is a vac leak that affects the operation of the vents.. do a search for "wild vents"... you'll find your answer... sometimes installing a check valve is all that's required to fix the problem... mine went away after I did some engine mods
