Double check the size of the valves before you order, some R/T heads came with 2.02 valves, IIRC.

You can check with a set of dial calipers.

For pushrods, a hardened set or some chromoly ones would be fine if you aren't camming it.

The stock length rod is .6925, but I've heard the ford length of .6936 can be used as stock replacements and those can usually be found cheaper. may want to PM RM_Indy about that and see if he agrees.

If he says that works, I've got a set of Hardened FORDs I was about to send back to Jegs, I'll sell them to you if you want. They are new in the package for $50. 5 bucks cheaper than JEGS or summit and you wont have a handling fee for any taxes.

I thought all RT heads came with 2.02 valves.

Yeah, they don't flow much better than stock. I plan on getting the Iron Ram heads. After that i am done with the engine. But before I get the heads, i am getting the 4 wheel disc brake upgrade. Then a front rotor upgrade.

THis lists the flow data for stock heads, iron rams and the RTs with 2.02 valves:

I just always thought RT heads had 2.02 valves.

depends on the porting done. But those are some good numbers. Need to match them with a cam and intake though. THose are race flow numbers for high RPM powerbands.
