Oh, hell yeah u can see power outa them. U will notice it when ur offroad, or just at a red light and punch it when it turns green. either or, what ever you do upgrades wise will ad power... Good Luck with the heads.
congrates on the heads.thats a steal imo.i would widdle on them alittle to get flow rates up.out of the box the castings rough but they clean up nicely and flow well for an iron head.stock heads are good to 400 crank but they crack.these are the factory's next level up from that.good luck
you should throw some 1.7 HS on those
aim i was curius whats good heads too run with the 1.7 and what reccomended on pushrods ext for my 5.9 im kinda going to the route you are with the stock cam just trying to make it a beefy DD. im looking to do heads and the airgap and be done ?

The 5.9 magnum has less lift than the 5.2. .410 at the intake. With 1.7 rockers, that's around .436 lift. Heads that Flow really well in that area would be optimal, whether they be 2.02 Valves or 1.92 valves. Whatever flows best around low to max lift. It doesn't matter if they flow great at .550 or .600 because your valves will never see that.
You have long tubes, so that should be great for scavenging, so flow at low lift is important. Make sure the heads get at least a 3 angle valve job and I'd ask for "racing" valves that have had the base of the stem shaved a bit for max flow down low.
Its 150x2 its per side complete rebuild is what he told me. I called another shop and they said 150 total for both heads complete rebuild
