150 for both sounds more reasonable...... unless they are going to gold plate them for you as well?

I wish I could find someone to port them for me.

You'll pay way more than 150 for porting.

Define mild.

Go to the Hughes site and check the difference between bare heads and ones with mild porting.
Subtract about a hundred bucks for taking them off the engine and pulling them apart yourself.

Sorry to dig this back up but didn't want to start a new post. I am going to pull the intake and heads as soon as I can get my truck in the garage. Can I use stock replacement valve-train with the R/T heads? Also I am going with this cam http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=659&sb=2 how do I know what length push rods to get will the stock length work.

Well, the notes say stock springs can't be used. Doesn't mention anything else. Most of the links to 'suggested' parts don't work either, so, no data is available on them.

Looking at the cam, and comparing it to stock... there really isn't much difference. (of course, that doesn't take into account ramp rates, and various other ****ling things like that....) Might be better off just going with 1.7 roller rockers. accomplish pretty much the same thing, without the need to replace a bunch of other parts.

The new cam DOES have higher lift than stock. (.480 with I assume the stock 1.6 ratio rockers.) so, the stock springs certainly would not work. Might have to do some clearancing on the valve guides as well. Just wouldn't do for the retainers to meet the tops of the guides, that would be...... messy.

You working on a 318, or 360?
