is the brake booster causing this noise??

Thats right I forgot you said it was already making the noise before the gear. Man I really dont know. Sorry I wasn't of more help. I am gonna go out tomorrow and take a look around underneath my dash and at the firewall of the engine compartment to see if anything rings a bell to me. I am curious now to what is causing this.

hey have you ever disconnected your front sway bars? this is a shot in the dark but my friend had a similar noise on a jeep and it turned out to be a loose washer. lol like I said shot in the dark but im just trying to brainstorm every piece that could possibly spin and make that sound and be in the general area of where the sound seems to be coming from.

its alright, you would almost have to hear the noise, its hard to explain. ill try a dif camera some time and see if i cant pick it up. but ill take a look at the sway bars. ive tried to brainstorm everything i could think of but its hard because the sound can only really be heard in the cab, not outside the truck. and its def coming from somewhere in the front in the dash or infront of the dash.

You have to remove the trailing arms to grease. PITA but it's what needs to be done.
