ABS light on only ... Truck stuck in 1st gear !

I gotta agree with the others and say that MAYBE you got a defect. When I changed my Master cylinder, the parts store gave me 2 defects in a row!!! Thank God the brakes semi-worked.

What year is your truck? You may have a speed sensor on the tranny also that could be shot.

I experienced the same issues once with my 2nd gen, even after I replaced the rear speed sensor. I then realized the wires were worn through where they are attached at the frame rail (above the rear axle). Spliced them back together and walla!

I have a 99 Ram 1500 4x4 V8 5.9
Shouldn't be a sensor on the trans for that year.

Boy, I sure feel like a dink. Yeah, I think that is when they quit putting the sensors there... or even in '98.

Thanks for all your post Guys !

I finally resolve my problem today !!!!

1. Un-plug the ABS module
2. Clean both connector with an electronic cleaner spray
3. Re-plug !

Not even 5 mins ... No more ABS light on the dash !!! Truck Running perfectly !!!

ohhh.... well I meant that I have one on the rear and NOT one on the tranny...
