Ah, ok. Still might be a weak starter. Also might be a weak battery. Or dirty connections..... Load testing the battery starting system would be a good place to start. Weak battery would also give some of the other symptoms you are seeing.....

well, i can get me a red top optima when ever thats not the issue right now, im kinda iffy on the terrible idle...

i need more info -

when you say it cranks real slow - do you mean that the starter and engine turn at normal speed, but it spins for a longer period of time than normal before it fires up? or do you mean that the starter and engine is turning slower than normal.

if the starter and engine are turning slowly, then the associated low battery voltage can disrupt proper IAC operation, and that explains why its not firing up and idleing w/o some foot operation on the gas pedal.

Hey just got back an now she is running perfect, i think it was the thing on the back of the carb, i just had to reset it, thats all.

its called the iac and your truck dosent have a carb
