My friend's grandfather is selling his Ram 2500 w/8.0 v10, I think a 98, for $1500. It has 115k miles, and has never been in a major accident. From what I've been told, the body looks okay (needs paint, but not a big deal), and the trans is in good shape. Do you think it's worth it?
I don't know too much about the v10, so I don't know what to expect.
I don't have pics atm, but I'm going to take some soon.
Yep, parts are tough to come by, but if it's in decent shape with no mechanical issues, it's a steal. I just hope you don't plan to make a daily driver out of it...
If you need a HD then 1500 is a steal even if its a 4x2
My insurance company is putting $8800 into repairing my 99 V10 4x4, its got alot less mileage though(40k).
^^^ Indy, how you getting almost 9 G's outta the insurance company for repairs??? Certain type of coverage? What kinda 'repair' is $8800 @ only 40K miles, just curious....
