Any warranty on that trans? TV cable adjusted correctly? Fluid level up to snuff. (must check fluid with trans in neutral) Does it do the 1-2 shift?

What year is the truck?

Throttle Valve. Adjust shift points by how hard you step on the go pedal. Hooks to the linkage on the throttle body, and runs down to the trans, on the passenger side of the engine/trans.

95 is purely hydraulically controlled. PCM doesn't even pay attention to it so far as I know. (aside from TCC) Low fluid will make it act funny, and if you changed the trans, then you did indeed play with the TV cable. (although, if it was out of adjustment, it would shift way late, or way early.......)

So what you are missing is third and fourth gear. Will it just not shift at all? Or does it seem to drop into neutral? (engine revs, but truck doesn't go.)

I have the 46rh as well...i took on water a few months back, and i had shifting problems...i flushed it 5 times, as well as filter changes...and got it shifting, but wouldnt go past 2nd as well...i got pissed, gunned it to 4500rpm and it shifted...and i never really had a problem after that...never had to go to that rpm again to shift...

Also are you checking fluid in Neutral while running? park WILL NOT give you an acurate reading.
