Not sure...... the auto vs. manual trans are going to have different pinouts. Unless the flash addresses that issue, you are going to have problems. I suppose, the trick there would be to call dodge, and check part numbers on PCM's, V-8 manual, vs V-8 automatic. If the flash is the only difference..... part numbers might be the same?

Another alternative may be to call Chrysler customer service, and ask them..... Not sure if they will be able to come up with an answer for ya though.

Did these trucks come with a 5.9 manual trans combo?

Not sure if they did or not.

Any idea where I could get another harness/PCM?

You're not going to like this, but what you should do is sell the V6 truck and buy a V8. You'll save a lot of money and grief in the long run.

Couple places sell them "new"... Might be able to get one from the dealer, but, make sure you have someone there to catch you when they give you the price.... There are resources available on the net, parts locators.... that could probably find one for ya. You just need one for a V-8, and manual trans, displacement doesn't matter, as they will both be the same. Should be the same year as yours if at all possible.

Check junkyards in your area as well, they may have a locator service, that can get you the harness and the PCM.

If it is for the wrong engine size...... PM Hemifever here on this site, and he can get you a tuner that will set ya right up for 275.00.

Yeah, it isn't going to be an inexpensive exercise.

Maybe you're looking at this from the wrong angle....

If this were a 40's - 60's model truck where parts are hard to come by and hand fabricating parts is your only option, going through this much trouble would be worth it.

1994 - 2001 Dodge trucks and vans are a dime a dozen. You're better off selling the V6 truck and V8 van, taking the proceeds and buying a V8 truck. The cash you'll spend on a fair / good condition truck will be much cheaper than the cash you will dump into this project. You will constantly run into problems with the PCM and ECU which will drive you nuts, and ultimately make you scrap the project.

Ok... with that out of the way.... if you want to swap the V8 into the truck do it the logical way. Swap the engine, transmission, ECU, PCM and wiring harness into the truck. You will have to lengthen portions of the wiring harness to account for the larger front end of the Ram compared to the Van. You shouldn't have to lengthen much aside from anything around the throttle body (injectors, IAC, engine temp, etc...). Shouldn't be too hard now that I think it through. Plan it out and be prepared for many set backs / thinking points.

Sell the V6 drive train to pay for a new drive shaft, radiator, engine mounts, transmission mount or cross member (might not need to but haven't looked), shift linkage, auto trans steering column assembly, dash cluster w/ auto shift indicator and other random parts I've forgotten. Most of these parts could be found in a junk yard, ebay, craigslist, etc... If both are a '97 or older the swap is a straight mechanical swap.

If one is a '98 or newer it gets more complicated....possible but complicated due to digital dashes, advanced anti-theft systems, chipped keys, etc... If you've got to go down this road, I'll give you a step by step guide. Here's hoping you don't....for your sanity and wallet.

Best of luck and keep us posted......
