Thanks!

I've got a tube cutter. I've had it for awhile, just didn't know what it is. Yes, that's sad I know.

I definitely think I'm gonna talk to dodge in a few minutes and see if they even have what I need in stock.

Already got told it would cost a MINIMUM of $300 locally. Strictly because the truck is from Michigan and they require that I replace ALL lines or they won't touch it.

So definitely letting my fiance do it. If only he was guaranteed to do it.

I would but I don't wanna die. Hahahaha. Jk.

I think I'm gonna give him Saturday to do it. Then if he doesn't, Tuesday is gonna be my turn to break it.

Alright, so after driving the Jeep for the second time and having Mother Nature tell me to **** off apparently. I'm curious, how likely is it that if we fix this spot of the brake line the rest of it won't fail?

What my fiance wants to do is to cut it off before the leak, and add a new piece of brake line and re-route. Should that work? At least until I can afford to replace all of the brake lines?

Cuz this wet butt crap because it's rainy and we don't have a real top on the Jeep isn't gonna work too long. I'm putting off leaving for work in hope that it'll stop raining.

If any of the other brake lines/fittings are rusted then you should replace them so you won't have to worry about them failing.

IMHO, every piece of brake line, from the master cylinder to each drum/caliper should be replaced. Do it once, do it right, and don't look back.

From what it's looking like, the actual brake line isn't that rusted. The frame twisted a little there and the brake line got pinched. It was just like the straw that broke the camel's back when I pressed the brakes last night. Or that's what Firestone told me today.

I would have a close look at the break, and see exactly what they are talking about. The frame shouldn't be twisting, and the line shouldn't be in a place to get pinched..... Do you feel that sunshine up your skirt? I think you should......

Have a look at your other lines. Just follow 'em around, and see what they look like. If any of them are rusty enough to make you nervous, replace it. If the cash is available to replace them all, go for it. Then you only have to bleed your brakes once.

[quote=joshsbetterhalf;2236587]Hahaha. I love both of our trucks and the Jeep

But back to the original topic, I gotta hope it doesn't take him 11 hours like he's thinking. He plans on starting around 12 noon and says he'll probably finish at 11pm. But I wanna go to mudbogs that day. Haha. So I need him to finish early. But if not I'll survive.

12pm is a terrible time to start a project. tell him to wake his *** up early (if he's not working or something) and get int the garage at 7am. that way when he fracks something up, the parts stores are all open instead of realizing he needs something at 6PM and everythings closed..........

ps, its hawt when chicks drive lifted jeeps.

Mine did the same thing.
I got four sections of brake line at A-zone, One 60 inches long, one 30, and two shorter ones of different lengths.
ran them from the T fitting behind the left front wheel along the top of the frame rail to the fitting above the rear axle.
Just took slight bending by hand.
Covered the new line with vacuum hose every place it could touch anything and tied it down with heavy duty plastic ties.
Less than $50.00 spent.
I used only three sections of the line, the two longest and i forget which other one.
Didn't need to cut or flare any of them.
It don't look factory but it works.
