13 mpg?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

+1 for don't expect much better. Having had mine for 13 years you are in the ball park. If that is all around town you are doing really well, if it is all highway you could do better, but are not far off. I get between 12.5 and 13 every tank in a mixed commute with 295/75s and everything else stock except the aircleaner.

I've always tried to get 15 mpg. That's my goal. Have never reached it lol. I actually have the window sticker in my glove box from when my truck was new. Says 12 to 17 mpg. The 17 is probably based on driving at the bonneville salt flats with a 50 mph tailwind and the truck never exceeding 55 mph. If I ever got 17 mpg, I'd probably have a huge grin and a mild heart attack.

Haha. I gotta agree with this. The only time my truck's computer thing that mounted on the ceiling has said anything over 14 was when I reset it, and it only said 69 for about a second, and plumetted afterwards. It still hasn't returned to normal.
I figured out my gas mileage after our trip (all highway 60+ MPH) to NC this weekend, and I only got 14.5 on there. So yes, take that 13 MPG and run with it.

I agree. I see about 12 in town, and 13-14 on the highway.
This past weekend, visiting my parents with the wife, it was calm with very little wind, and I got just over 14. That was with me traveling 78-80 MPH the whole way over the 4-5 hour drive (speed limit is 75 out here on the interstate).

You guys should probably look into some supporting mods for your trucks. My 318 4X4 with 170,000 miles gets just shy of 15 MPG city only, and I'm not taking it easy at all either. I also get a little over 17 MPG mostly highway.
My old 2WD 318 would get 16 city and 18 or 20 highway at almost 250,000 miles if I remember right. But it was bone stock unlike the one I have now.
