Cruise control wont work.....
Hi, i have read through other people's posts and have done what the suggested to do for other's problems. i just got this truck and im fixing the little things that are wrong with it. The truck is a 96' ram 2500 4x4 longbed with a 5.9L cummings in it. I have replaced the clock spring which got the horn working and the airbag light off, now i just dont have cruise that works. I have checked the vacume line that runs from the firewall to the cruise control module under the battery. also i am getting 5.2 volts in one of the wires that plug into the clock spring. there are only 4 wires in that plug one has 12 volts for the horn and 2 are dead and one has 5.2 as stated before. I tested the wires that are on the steering wheel side of the clock spring and i do not get any voltage out of any of them. also i have checked the break switch and it works as it is supposed to. I am lost from there and have no other ideas or leads where to go from here.. If you have any info that could help i would greatly appreciate it...

it turns out the new clock spring i installed before all of this is the wrong one. it is for 97.5 thru 01 dodges. the only new clock spring i can find for my 96' is from the dealer and costs $344. anybody know of any other company that produces clock springs other than dorman because they dont make any for the 96's
